About Us

Where did we begin………well, we started operating on the 1^st July 1980 as a sole trader under the name Swan-Robes, run by Brian Swan. Rapidly growing out of the Crossford (Fife) based garage into 2 garages the need for additional space grew too. From there we relocated briefly to an old farrier’s workshop in Dunfermline before ending up in an old cow barn behind the Kevil Hotel in Crossford. We were here for many years and did extensive works to the building and road access before we outgrew the areas capabilities for handling large delivery vehicles. The next move was to the lovely hillfoot town of Alva, where we are still located to this day. During that time we have transitioned through partnership to limited company as well as expanding our building premises to allow for storage of our extensive range of offerings.

Now operating for over 40 years, we are still a family company and continue the core beliefs of building a name for providing superior sliding, bi-fold and recently, pivot doors. As one of the first mirror door companies to setup manufacturing in Scotland we have set out producing products with strict quality control procedures, improved safety and continual testing to ensure they remain a superior product. Producing not only our extensive range of sliding, bi-fold and pivot doors, but also the internal shelving, units and hanging rail for your wardrobe needs. The doors are available in a variety of frame colour finishes and are complimented by a choice of panel or mirror; sandblasting or brilliant cut designs expand this option even further. After extensive safety test we can also now provide mixed panel door systems allowing for coloured glass, panel and mirror all to be made into a single door design to allow you to create a truly unique door system. We also offer a bespoke interior design facility where we can make custom units suited to your requirements and needs.

All our doors are produced by hand in Scotland and are available through all good building & timber merchants, joiners and authorised retailers. Our Alva based premises is home to not only our production facility but also to our showroom which has numerous full sized doors on display, including examples of Bi-Fold & Pivot doors. We also carry an extensive range of spare parts for our door systems that cover doors produced over 40 years ago.
